There is awesome news for everyone out there!!! With a view to tackle the traffic congestion and to help the pedestrians in the city, a sky-walk is planned to be erected at the Vyttila junction, which will also be the first of its kind in Kerala. The city authorities have got approval from the State Road Safety Council will implement the project in consultation with the National Highway Authority of India. Rs.6crore is allotted to the authorities for the completion of the project. A flyover will also be constructed as a part of the project.

The skywalk will feature hotels, shopping malls, ATM’s etc. The sky-walk will also provide a picturesque view of the city. It is also learned that similar sky-walks are planned to be constructed at Kacheripady and Kaloor Junctions.
This can be seen as a major move to transform Kochi into a metro and step up the infrastructure facilities in the city.
